Introduction to Generative AI - Summer 2024
Instructor: Professor Violet Peng
- Leading Discussions: Facilitated in-depth class discussions to foster a collaborative learning environment. Encouraged students to engage with the material through questions, debates, and peer-to-peer interactions, enhancing their critical thinking and understanding. Provided tutoring sessions to help high school students grasp complex concepts in
generative AI and machine learning, including neural networks, n-gram LM, and transformer. - Project: Led the development and implementation of a
transformer-based autocomplete system and chatbot, providing support and guidance for over 20 chatbot projects in various fields. - Presenting: Delivered lectures and presentations on specific topics within generative AI, such as the latest research developments, practical applications, and hands-on coding tutorials. Aimed to make advanced topics accessible and engaging.
- Grading: Evaluated student assignments, projects, and exams with a focus on providing constructive feedback. Aimed to help students understand their mistakes and learn from them, while also maintaining high academic standards.
Tau Beta Pi
As a member of Tau Beta Pi, I have also provided tutoring in various STEM subjects and hosting review session before midterms and finals, helping students improve their understanding and academic performance.
